AIA San Francisco is proud to present the 2^nd annual, Marin Living: Home Tours, which remains the first of its kind in the Bay Area. The AIA SF Home Tours Series serves to advance our collective understanding of how architecture impacts our daily life. Each year AIA SF celebrates the wealth of great residential design in our region, showcasing ways innovative structures provide more than shelter, but contribute to our unique quality of life. The AIA SF Marin Living: Home Tours was established to complement our annual Tours in San Francisco and as an integral part of the Architecture and the City festival. Presenting programs in both areas allows us to juxtapose the influential characteristics of each environment.

The Marin Living: Home Tours provides visitors with the exclusive opportunity to see some of Marin County’s most cutting-edge residential projects from the inside out. Complementary programs held throughout the weekend provide individuals with unique opportunities to meet design teams, learn more about the design process, explore housing trends and discover innovative design solutions that illustrate the positive impact great design has on our economy, environment and community identity.

It's been said that bad architecture is said as much a failure of psychology as of design. The AIA SF Home Tours demonstrates the intimate bond that’s created between architects and their clients as they explore design’s relationship with lifestyle and our region’s built and natural terrain. This year a diverse collection of projects will be presented as we explore the story of great architecture in Marin County.

Note: Due to the hilly nature of the terrain, the showcased homes are not ADA accessible. There will be multiple stairs and steep inclines and declines at several of the homes.

 Please note the following information:

+ AIA San Francisco members must have a valid AIA member ID# to receive the member rate.

+ Students and SFUSD and MarinCOE teachers receive a 15% discount. These tickets must be purchased day-of at the headquarters or in person at AIA San Francisco, 130 Sutter Street, Suite 600, San Francisco. Please bring student or SFUSD/Marin County ID.

+ Bikers receive a 15% discount and must be present with their bike to purchase tickets day-of at the headquarters. (Due to the nature of the terrain, we advise that only advanced bikers bike the Marin Living: Home Tours.)

+ After Friday, May 20th at 4:00 pm, tickets will no longer be available online and will increase to the day-of ticket price of $70 for members and $85 for non-members. Tickets will be available for day-of purchase at the Home Tours Headquarters. Headquarters Location: May 21st, 9:00 am to 4:00pm: College of Marin - Kentfield Campus | 835 College Avenue | Lot 15 (West side of the campus, left off of Kent Avenue)  Ticket pick up can be done at the AIA office Monday-Friday 9:00 am to 5:00pm until May 20th, or at the Headquarters between 9:00-4:00pm the day of the event, Saturday May 21st.
